Hey! I hope we are now friends.

And my friends are in the know about me. But just in case you have forgotten keep reading.

Why I Garden.

I decided to work on my green thumb during covid quarantine. I figured I had some time on my hands so it was time to get my hands to work. I won't say I am an expert quite yet but I definitely have some experience at killing plants, so I've learned what not to do. And I am here to share that with you as well. I currently have 2 successful garden beds in my backyard and you can always find current updates about them on my Instagram account.

I truly believe in organic, clean eating and by growing my own food I am able to not just learn a new lifelong skill but help feed my family. Whenever I reach a roadblock in my gardening, that thought alone makes me dust myself off and keep trying.

Gluten Free, It's a lifestyle I didn't chose.

So, the gluten free life chose me, I didnt chose it.

I got sick the year of 2018 and it took another year of tests and doctors to tell me that I have a severe gluten intolerance. When the doctor explained my results to me it was clear my levels were high. I won't give you the nasty, too-much-info details but that year was not pretty for my mental, emotional and physical health. The journey to healing myself took longer. And although I am aware not everyone needs to adopt a gluten free lifestyle I am here to share with you recipes, products and tools that have helped me enjoy my diet. Now my husband and I and most of my family members enjoy the way I need to eat- mostly because they cannot even tell that the food is gluten free. I will definitely share my secrets.

My Home life.

I am a home body at heart. A true introvert. I must prep and prepare and still whine when I need to go out. Which means I put a lot of thought into my home life and what will make it function the way I need it to. I enjoy the 32 house plants I have decorated throughout the house- yes live ones. I have 2 high energy dogs that demand lots of my attention and I am more than happy to give it to them. Plus, I am newly wed, maybe I should have started with that. But, yes I just got married in November of 2022 and it was the wedding of our dreams. Something we never thought we could accomplish but with lots of help from family we did it. After all this, I enjoy a clean, bright happy home. We enjoy long walks, bike rides, cooking and listening to records and lets not forget the occasional scary movie.

Book, books, and more books.

Reading is my favorite pastime. So much of my healing has come from reading and gaining self awareness about myself. I always seek to get lost in new worlds and even find myself improving mine. You can find me reading all sorts of stuff from biographies to fantasy, sci-fi and memoirs. I enjoy hardback covers but I am not immune to audio books either. Of course I will be showing you what I read and be recommending the ones I truly think you should give a chance to.

Reading has led me to live with intention and focus more on my mindfulness. How do you know what choices to go with or what direction to take if  you don't know what you want? Reading is a powerful tool I feel that many of us no longer utilize in this media age but that doesn't mean the value is no longer there.
